Very hard not to cheer up when someone is so sincerely glad to see me as my friend's bordercollie puppy, 'Wild Thing'... every time I go visiting he jumps up and runs around in circles and licks my face and tries to eat my mittens... and no matter how long I stay just talking with my friend the puppy is always begging for attention... he's not SO little anymore but he climbs in my lap... I guess I have been in need of some cheering up. Nothing wrong, but nothing so gorgeously wonderful going on either.

campus politics

...I'd never have thought I'd be personally involved in politics. Until someone pointed out that campus politics (that is, the Student Union and its council of representatives) is mostly about things that are not only everyday but important to each student, and that the more there are non-political (that is, not subjected to a political party) groups, the less votes there will be for the political groups... at the moment, no party in Finland has my support. You see, at Tampere University there are lots of faculty-based groupings, and the election is coming, and until today there wasn't a humanist group. Today, some smart people did the paper

Then it would be easier to juggle a dozen jobs! let's see, I've got topics running on four forums that I'm supposed to participate, and two other forums I wish I had the time to participate... then I'm supposed to moderate four e-mail groups, happily only two of them need me every day (one because there's so many members, the other because I own it.) Earlier this week I submitted art to www.digitalart.com, after my very own homepage showed no signs of recovering from the crash it has suiffered... and now I'm supposed to find an ad-free host for my university papers homepage (we have to write papers in html and put them online)... or learn to
